ownership, unless theres an inside job. I know I could just go to my dealer and give the lady in the parts department my vin and she'll have em cut for me. I know her well. So, technically, I could probably steal a car without her realizing it. Don't worry, I wont come after your cars. They are safe, just explaining how it could be done without proof of ownership. speaking of which, I need a Nissan key... Now whos car do I want it to open....
